Please join EHCA as we commemorate 111 years of service by showcasing 100 pieces of artwork created by individuals in our Residential, Options, Life Sharing, and MOVE programs.

Our artists have uploaded their art pieces to Unspoken Symphony which uses technology to read the brush strokes, pressure of the stroke, and colors that the artists chose to create one-of-a-kind musical symphonies. Each piece of art will have a QR code which you can use with your phone to listen to the music. Bring your headphones or AirPods to get the full experience!

EHCA’s annual Victory Ride is speeding toward us on Saturday, August 19! Calling all Riders and Side-Car Owners!

What is the Victory Ride?

One of the mottoes of EHCA’s staff members is that people with disabilities have “small victories every day.” This is how the Victory Ride got its name! In the summer of 2013, two of EHCA’s residents really wanted to ride motorcycles. Both guys were in wheelchairs and both of them had always loved motorcycles, so their staff and friends enlisted local sidecar drivers and the guys both had their dreams come true when they felt the wind in their faces. The thing is, neither group knew about the other, and yet the rides occurred just a week apart, with different groups of people! Agency staff and volunteers thought this was more than a coincidence and wanted to give even more individuals with disabilities the chance to ride, and the Victory Ride began in 2014. Last Victory Ride, more than 50 individuals with disabilities had the chance to feel the wind in their faces thanks to a dedicated group of sidecar and trike owners from around the region – including friends from both NY and OH!
