What We Do

MOVE

MOVE (Making Opportunities for Volunteerism and Exploration) is a day program for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  MOVE provides opportunities to get involved in the community, enjoy art in various forms, learn skills, and so much more.  MOVE fosters independence and inclusion by focusing on everyone’s unique abilities and interests.

Zach sits in a wheelchair facing the camera while a staff member kneels next to him, also smiling to the camera.

MOVE encourages everyone to explorecreateengage, and aspire.

  • Volunteering opportunities through local partnerships
  • Recreational activities to build skills and personal and social development
  • Creative expression through art, dance, crafts, and music
  • Opportunities to explore and develop personal interests and goals

Participation in any activity can be done independently or with the assistance of communication devices, adaptive equipment, and/or physical assistance from MOVE staff.  MOVE wants all to feel included and have opportunities for growth and fun!

MOVE is located in a fully accessible building with state-of-the-art technology, nursing staff, medication administration, and therapeutic services.
