EHCA Announces Selection of Their Next Chief Executive Officer
EHCA is eager to announce the appointment of Jonathan Rilling as the agency's new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025.
Rilling, a seasoned professional in the Intellectual Disability (ID) services sector, brings experience and a proven track record of agency leadership and vision. His strong background in communications and fund development equips him to steer EHCA toward its next phase of growth and success, instilling the agency in his confidence and ability to lead.
"We are delighted that Jonathan met key components of our updated strategic plan, and we have emphasized succession planning as critical to ensure our exceptional daily operations and continued future successes," said Allen Bonace, MSN/MBA, RN, EHCA's Immediate Past Board Chair and Personnel Committee Chair. "We believe that Jonathan's experience and relationship-building skills in the regions EHCA serves, as well as his statewide network of disability provider connections and legislative contacts, provide him an ideal internal agency candidate for this role," concluded Bonace.
Jonathan will succeed Charles R. Walczak, MBA, FACHE (Chuck), upon Walczak's official retirement from the agency at the close of the 2024 calendar year. Over the past ten-plus years, Chuck effectively led EHCA's smart growth strategy, a very successful capital campaign, and an agency-wide rebrand. Furthermore, Chuck hard-wired EHCA's award-winning best place to work/employee-centric culture into the agency's DNA. He recently noted, "To provide the best possible services to our clients – our primary operational focus must be on our stellar employees." Kevin McCann, EHCA Board Chair, reiterated, "Chuck's vision and commitment have truly shaped EHCA and propelled our mission forward in so many varied and impactful ways, leaving a lasting legacy and an indelible mark on those whose lives were positively impacted by his leadership."
