Our community has faced unimaginable grief and heartache recently, and this is felt throughout the EHCA family as well. We don’t have the words to ease this pain, but we want to commit to supporting those within our reach in the best way we can.
To those within our EHCA Family:
Every single day, your compassion and dedication help people with disabilities live richer, fuller lives in Erie. Our city needs that same care and kindness now more than ever, and you deserve that care, too.
Our Employee Assistance Program is free, confidential, and available 24/7 for you and your household.
Supervisors are encouraged to be flexible with anyone who needs time to grieve, attend a vigil or service, or simply take a break.
Reach out to coworkers who may be struggling or seem quieter than usual. Offer patience and understanding to one another.
To those within our beloved community:
We grieve with you. We’re rooted in the City of Erie, with branches throughout the County. Our team works and lives right here. We’re your neighbors, and we are impacted by what happens each day.
Many resources have been shared online to provide help and support.
We’re thankful for these local partners who so graciously open their doors and hearts to provide these services, and we encourage you to use them and share their programs with others.
Let’s continue to hold each other up in the weeks and months ahead.
Erie is stronger when we’re together.
